CHICAGO PD! by Emily Berman

I'm on Chicago PD!

Back in October (right around Halloween, which is apropos if you get a chance to watch...) I got to spend a few days on set with the fine folks of NBC's Chicago PD.  I play a fun, technical role at the beginning of Season 5 Episode 10, which aired earlier this month and is now available for streaming on the NBC website.  Thanks to Gray Talent, Simon Casting and director Carl Seaton for such a fun opportunity!

Summer 2017 has been a busy one!  I can't believe I have only one week left playing Marian in Marriott Theatre of Lincolnshire's incredible production of THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY.  I love sharing the stage with Nate Stampley, Kathy Voytko, Bart Shatto, Wydetta Carter, and the rest of our incredibIe company - and they're all pretty great people offstage too.

Here's a short clip of my song from the show:

Catch us through August 13 (only 8 shows left!) at the Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire!!

October through December of 2016, I had the great fortune to play the title role in a world premiere play, MISS BENNET: CHRISTMAS AT PEMBERLEY, at Northlight Theatre; it was an incredibly rewarding experience all around. Doing this play at Northlight with such a fantastic cast, under Jessica Thebus's direction, reinforced my love for collaboration in bringing new work to life.  And those little tiny curls were fun to wrangle each night. :)

Next up in January (I did double duty for a whole week!) was THE HUNDRED DRESSES at Chicago Children's Theatre!  This was a fun one because I got to sing AND play instruments - piano, guitar, ukulele, and mandolin to be precise.  It was also my first time performing for kids, and I'll never forget the energy and openness with which they received our anti-bullying, pro-immigrant message.

Now auditioning for next season and looking forward to one more exciting gig between now and then: more news soon!
